Who is eligible for Prepaid Refer-A-Friend?
U.S. Cellular's Prepaid Refer-A-Friend program is only for active Prepaid Customers to refer new Prepaid Customers who activate a Smartphone on a 3GB/mo or higher Prepaid plan.
What happens if a Referee (the person being referred) activates a new account before the Referrer (the person making the referral) has submitted their information (sent a referral)?
Neither the Referrer nor Referee will receive their $25 reward. The Referee must receive their referral before activating a line.
When a Referrer submits referrals, what forms of communication will their friends and family receive?
Referrers can choose from email, Facebook or Twitter. Most choose email.
Will the Referee be told who referred them?
Yes. Any referral comes to the Referee with the note "Sent from your friend, [John Doe]."
How does the Referee receive their reward?
The Referee receives their reward in the form of a promo card that may be used at any U.S. Cellular store or on the web at uscellular.com. The card is mailed to the address that the Referee entered when they registered (on the Refer-A-Friend website) for the referral program. The reward is dispatched about 4 weeks after the Referee registers their new line on the Refer-A-Friend website. Remember, any Referee must activate a new line before registering on the Refer-A-Friend website.
How does the Referrer receive their reward?
The Referrer gets their reward in the form of a promo card that may be used at any U.S. Cellular store or on the web at uscellular.com. The card is mailed to the address that the Referrer entered when they registered (on the Refer-A-Friend website) for the program. The reward is dispatched about 4 weeks after the Referee registers on the Refer-A-Friend website. When the Referee registers via a link provided in an email or via social media, the pairing of Referrer and Referee occurs and both parties are issued a reward card.
How do the Referrer and Referee check the status of their rewards?
Both Referrer and Referee should log into their account on the Refer-A-Friend site. It will give a list of all submissions and the status of each reward. "No status" means that the referral is still in-process.
If the Referrer cancels their service before the Referee completes their paring will rewards be paid?
No. Both the Referrer and Referee must be deemed qualifying by being active customers for at least one day after the pairing is made.
